Excellent shirt. I sized up to Excel because it's a slim fit. I like the fact that it's got 4% elastane. The website says 2% but the tag says 4%. I own several of the long sleeve slim fit Amazon essentials shirts, and they fit perfectly. They have a nice cut for my muscular build and smaller waist. I like the material being light due to living in a tropical environment. I do iron my shirts, so the material being more wrinkly after the wash isn’t a big deal to me. I am very happy with the long sleeve shirts I’ve bought. That being said. I decided to order a few of these short sleeve slim fit Amazon essentials shirts to wear on more casual days. When they came in, I immediately threw them into the wash without trying them on. Assuming these were the same as the long sleeve versions was a mistake. One of the shirts was super tight, so much so that I can’t wear it at all. The others had the same cut as the long sleeve versions, but they were wider in the torso (more of a regular fit in my opinion) and quite long. The long sleeve shirts land mid fly on me, but these land at the bottom of my fly. The inconsistent sizes really threw me off. I’m pretty disappointed, so I won’t really be wearing these. I was hoping these would land mid fly like the image, but perhaps the model is 6’2. I’m 5’10 with a long torso, and these look quite long on me. The length of them is more suited for a dress shirt you have to tuck in. I find it funny that the more casual short sleeve versions are tucked in length. These shirts are probably best for a tall person. Perhaps the regular and tall sizes got mixed up. I’m not sure, but there are definitely some quality control issues for Amazon essentials poplin shirts. Read more
Fits well looks good feels good. The slim fit looks fitted without being tight and the stretch fabric helps maintain a good fitted look when moving around. I like the Amazon Essentials brand in general by now.
