High quality textile construction all the way around. Very soft 97% cotton and 3% spandex for a little stretch. Best of all, I have a slim build, and these "trim fit" pants fit me close to perfect--form fitting from top to bottom without any compression. Part of that is because these come in even AND odd waist sizes. I bought both size 30 and 29. I usually have to buy 30 in most brands because there is no 29. The 30 fit me better than most of my pants, but required a belt cinched up a bit. My wife said they looked great on me. But then I put on the 29 waist, and the fit was even better. The 29 fits my legs and seat perfectly, tapering to the ankle, with just a little extra room in the waist so that I will probably wear a belt. This is the way pants should be. Why in this day and age of super-efficient and super-cheap textile manufacturing do most brands still use 2" variation in waist and length sizing baffles me. Over the years I have tried different varieties of Amazon Essential Brand pants, of one sort or another. But there never seemed to be any reliable consistency. I purchased two pair of these, same size, different color. Both have the same fit, same cut, same fabric, same amount of stretch and perfect thickness for either cold or hot weather. The fabric is very comfortable. They feel well made. So, I strongly believe that they will be durable, if taken care of. And if dried without too many other clothes, and on a low heat setting, they won't shrink or wrinkle. I ordered the Olive Drab and Black. Both are true to color. When they have more of the colors I want back in stock, I'll reorder. I think Amazon has a winner. I am very pleased with these Cargo or Field pants. Very comfortable. Plenty of room in the seat with a straight leg. I wear a 34/32. But in reality, if these were 100% cotton pants I would be closer to a size 36. So don't be afraid to order. These are great pants. I just hope they keep making these and more regular slacks as good as these. EDIT: Added note. When drying these pants, it's best to do so with as few clothes as possible and take out immediately after drying. These will wrinkle like crazy.
