Why oh why can't Amazon get measurements right?

I bought these pants in 32" and 33" waist sizes because I'm always one or the other, depending on the brand. When they arrived, they were both too tight--and weirdest of all, the 33 was actually smaller than the 32. Figuring the 33 must be a fluke, I ordered another 33 and a 34 just in case. When they arrived, the 33 was the same as the other 33 (too small) while the 34 was much too big! My photo shows the 33 and 34 next to each other, where you can see the 34 is a lot more than 1" larger in the waist than the 33. So now I've tried on 4 pairs of these pants in 3 different consecutive sizes and they're all either too small or too big. I'm not sure if these huge gaps between sizes occur in Amazon's other clothing items or what, but it's really frustrating. I knew the pants wouldn't be the highest quality and I get that they're bargain-basement price, but there's really no excuse for such inconsistency in sizing. The most frustrating part is that the overall fit is actually really good and they're not stretchy, which is very hard to find these days for anything like a reasonable price. Read more
