My 3 year old daughter is in mostly 3t and 4t depending on the brand and based on other reviews, I picked the smaller of the sizes. 3t was HUGE. They run equivalent to some size 5 shorts that she has yet to grow into. If your kiddo is in the toddler sizes, I recommend sizing down 2 sizes.
