The fabric isn't soft, but a slippery material that's not very stretchy. Also, they are closer to high rise than mid rise. I do like the length, though. I'm short and leggings are usually too long. These leggings are honestly perfect — they feel snug in all the right places and definitely pass the squat test, especially for such an affordable price. Just a heads up, they do say they have pockets, but there aren’t any on the outside; there’s only a small hidden pocket inside that’s good for a card or key. For years, I’ve been wearing Lululemon, vuori, and Athleta high-rise leggings and decided to try these out. Holy moly. They are phenomenal.
