Amazon Essentials Womens Crewneck Long-Sleeve Fleece Above-The-Knee Dress

I ordered this dress in both a Medium and a Large. The size chart and the reviews made me think Medium, but Amazon, and my experience with Amazon Essentials, recommended the size Large. The Medium was the right choice for me, 5'7, 145lbs, 34DDD bust line, typically a ladies 10/12 dress (bust measurement being my largest measurement). The size Large was way too big! There wasn't even a question as to which was the right size. If you want this to be cute, then it needs to fit you somewhere. Whether that's your bust line, waist, or hips, YOU have to be able to create some shape with this. So do make sure that when you look at the size chart you have one spot where this is going to skim the body closely, otherwise you're just going to look sloppy. Overall the dress is pretty basic, but it is soft, cozy, and warm. It makes a great base layer on which to build a cute fall or winter outfit. I only wish this had pockets and came in more colors. I am a bright winter color season and the black worked for me, but not the navy, which is a little muted due to the matte finish of the fabric. I purchased this dress in XXL because I have a large bust and wanted plenty of room. It's a little on the large side but still a decent fit for tomato-shaped me, not overly huge in the hip area so neat enough that I'd wear it to the store or something. If I'd sized down and risked a snug fit around the belly, it might even seem neat enough to "dress up" with a vest, scarf, and boots to look "cute." It's in the wash now, but it was shedding fleece at the first wearing. It doesn't feel like it has a high enough cotton content that I'm concerned about shrinkage. If only it had pockets ... I bought this top/dress to wear this winter with leggings, and loved it so much I have now bought two more colors! I purchased my normal size (XL) and the fit is perfect. It’s SO soft and comfortable, and to me is just right with the length - I’m 5’9” and the XL comes to just above my knee, perfect. I bought it to wear around the house, but t could easily be worn to church with leggings and boots, or to work, or…so very happy with it, if they made more colors I would probably buy them also. I am 5'2" 125 lbs and ordered a size medium. The fit is nice, and the "dress" is below my knees, so I am staying WARM. I love that it has that super soft dense fleece on the inside that feels so nice against the skin. It does taper a bit at the waist, but it is far from a fitted item. It also uses two pieces of fabric in the back so that it doesn't bubble out at the bum. The material is good quality, and the gray is very feminine. I would describe it as a medium weight fleece suitable for the cold. It isn't stiff and it isn't flimsy. The weight is just right to make a dress that doesn't lose its shape.
