This fabric of this dress has stretch, so it is somewhat clingy. It is also a little thin, but it is comfortable and the fabric flows well. Sizing seems to be on point, but the length varies. I purchased four dresses in different colors, and each of them was a slightly different length. I plan to hem three, which were too long, before wearing them. I own several dresses from Daily Ritual that are made in this same Jersey material. I consider it to actually be more of a stretchy t-shirt type material that what I think of as jersey. I now generally wear a size large but I bought this in an XL to accommodate an undershirt that I am wearing that keeps seems away from my skin while I recover from a health issue. If I were not wearing this undershirt, I would definitely buy a large. The dress is extremely comfortable and doesn't bind anywhere. The neck is crew and the sleeves are short. I am 5'6” and the dress hits me right at the ankle. The slit is on the left side and stops just below my knee (though, I do have longer legs than normal for my height, so on others it may hit right at the knee.) There is no seam in the back (which is very important to me right now.) The seams are on the two sides. The only thing I would change about this dress is that there is a tag at the neck. I wish they had printed the info on the inside of the dress or included the tag low somewhere on the side seam below the hip. In the photos that I hope to include, it shows the dress as it fits me with the t-shirt underneath. I have washed it and it didn't shrink appreciably. I have worn and washed my other dresses in this line everyday for five months and they are still in good shape. The dress I purchased first is in a dark heather gray. I was happy to see this color and wish that Daily Ritual would expand the line to carry other colors than simply neutral ones. I will be buying more of these dresses, starting with the basic black. It's a great dress for those of us who prefer not to wear shorter dresses. The slit will keep it cooler in warm weather and the longer length will keep the legs warm when it is cool outside. Great to dress up or down. Wear with sneakers, sandals or pumps - Nice, thick fabric washes very well but I only line dry and the color and shape stay true. True to size and soft on the skin. Happy I bought in several colors. Read more

I immediately returned this after I tried it on and found there were no pockets. My mistake for not specifically checking, I guess, but who makes a woman’s garment in 2025 with no pockets?! Especially when some of their other dresses that I have bought DID have pockets. So disappointing. Read more
