I am pleasantly surprised by the quality of this sweater. It’s not too heavy but not too light. Most sweaters often swallow me up or are too short. It’s warm, soft, comfortable, and it fits perfectly. I will definitely order more colors. This will be a fall/winter staple for me. It’s fitted but not tight and works well under layers. This is such a great sweater! It’s a nice weight, not thick or bulky at all. I was worried about what a $20 sweater would feel like, but I was pleasantly surprised. Based on the other reviews I did size up. I am 5’7 and wear a size 14, I normally order XL but went with a XXL and glad I did. It lays nicely, not boxy, the sleeves are long enough and I can tuck it slightly in to my waistband and still hangs beautifully. I’ve not laundered it yet but will be hanging to dry (as I do with all my sweaters). I will absolutely be ordering more. Read more

Beautiful and great fitting sweaters, but unfortunately not great quality and sizing is way off. I bought two of these in off white and green color. After several purchases and returns to find the right size, I ended up keeping both colors and both XL size (I wear medium size in general) However, green (dark color) did not hold up well with washing. After only one wash, the sweater looked really faded and worn out. It didn't shrink or change otherwise, but it looked really old and worn out. The off white one looked much better as fading didn't affect it. I loved that these are cotton sweaters and they were super comfortable and soft initially. They are classic fit and cut and I loved everything about them. However I'm disappointed I was able to wear them only few times because of the quality issues. Read more

This sweater is a really good basic for my wardrobe. I like a V-neck but many are too low for cooler weather. This one is not. I don't feel like I have to layer a tee under it at all...though it's great for layering too if you want. The color is rich and the quality seems good. I can't speak to how well it holds up in the wash...will update if that becomes an issue. Read more

I received this sweater (burgundy color) a couple days ago and while outside it’s still pretty warm, my office is FREEZING. So I'm wearing it today. This sweater is thicker than I expected but it’s not bulky. The quality also feels really nice - doesn't feel like it’s going to pill up after a couple of wearings like a lot of synthetic fabrics do. I'm 5'10" with a long torso so shirt lengths can sometimes be an issue for me. This hits just about mid-hip on me which is prefect. I ordered the XXL (220lbs here) and it fits perfectly. Many reviewers mention that its boxy – I guess I have a bit of a boxy shape because I don’t really notice that. I didn’t want something super form fitting and this definitely has room to layer a tee or blouse underneath. I am a sucker for a v-neck, whether it be a tee shirt or sweater. I ordered the peach color. It’s very pretty but it’s brighter than the photo-it more like the color of cantaloupe. Amazon Essentials are always good basics but not totally consistent in sizes across the label. This one is just a little bit smaller than some, but close in size. I dried it in the dryer on low heat and it shrunk slightly, but I bought a larger size intending to dry it. I’m very pleased with this simple basic sweater. It seems well made like it will wear well.
