These are a cute, no heel black sandal. The strap that goes across the arch of the foot is 1.5 inches wide. They have a small amount of elastic gore at the instep which may help if you have a little bit of a wider foot (see picture). They are comfortable and fit well, but have very little padding in the foot bed. They are fine for running errands in, but I personally would not want to wear them for an all day walking event, like the zoo. Appear to be well made. Pretty decent sandal for the price point.
