I 💜 these pants! These are flattering straight-leg professional machine washable pants at a really great price! Note, it says mid-rise but it’s more like natural waist (slightly higher). If you’re 5ft 4in, then this pants is the perfect length (29” inseam) to reach/slightly cover your shoes, and just enough stretch to keep it shape during the day while keeping you comfy. The ponte feature (creased line down the front of each leg) elevates this pants to fit into corporate wear. Also, really good quality material -it’s thick enough to be professional and feels nice against the skin. It washes nicely and dries best by line hanging. You can dry it in the dryer but at a low temp and have to remember to remove it right away. Feedback For Amazon Essential product team on how to improve: make the waist band a tad wider so this can double as tummy control; lower the waist slightly for a true mid-rise or offer this pants in different rises; and offer more colors. I love the color (burgundy, sort of a purplish wine color), the weight of the fabric, and the fit of these pants. They look sharp and are very comfortable with stretch. I will use these for upcoming travel in autumn. However, the size medium are decidedly not crop or ankle length on me (5'2"). They're more of a full length boot cut look. I purchased these pants to wear on a flight to Europe. I wanted something comfortable, heavy enough for fall temperatures, and nice enough to wear on a post flight excursion should my checked bag not make it. (Yes, I check luggage.) I was not interested in wearing yoga pants, leggings, athletic wear, or sweatpants. I wanted something that looked like a trouser but wasn't. These ponte pants met all my requirements. I would say they are a medium weight ponte fabric. They are not "see through". In cooler weather, they could be worn with tights for more warmth, if you so desired. They have an elastic waistband and a decent amount of stretch which adds to their comfort. They do have stitched front seams which gives the pant a more dressed up look which I wanted. I have washed these pants already. For reference I washed them in cold water inside out on a delicate cycle with a product for washing delicate dark clothing. I put them in the dryer on low heat for 3 minutes, pulled them out, and hung them to dry. They were wrinkle free and you cannot even tell they were washed. They turned out beautiful. Note: One thing I did, prior to washing, was cut out the tags. I found the tag in the waistband scratchy as did another reviewer. For reference: I am 5'6", 118 lbs.. I usually wear a size 4 but this is mainly because I carry my weight in my hips (38 inches). My waist is 27 inches so I have always dealt with issues with the fit around my waist in order to have a pant fit my hips. I bought these pants in size small. The waistband is a bit big but I plan to wear my sweaters to cover the waistband. The length of 29 inches hits me right at the bottom of my ankle bone. I plan to wear these pants with ballet flats and they are perfect. For the price, these were a good buy for me. I bought them in navy as the black was out of stock. Giving these 1 star because they really are decent pants,bbut Amazon must take back items in any condition! I was going to take a picture but these were too disgusting to leave unpackaged long enough to take it. They looked faded and were covered in lint and animal fur. They had clearly been worn and washed then worn again. I have these pants in two other colors and they arrived fine but this black pair is pathetic. Read more

Purcahsed these for an european trip. They were perfect! Comfortable enough to wear on the plane with great stretch. A quick laundering and they were ready for a night on the town with their classic fit. For the money, i would purchase them in several colors. Read more
