Amazon Essentials Womens Relaxed-Fit Ultra-Lightweight Open-Front Cardigan

I actually paid for this product and didn't receive it for free (though I'm certainly not opposed to being in the Vine program, Amazon!) and am still giving it five enthusiastic stars because I am so pleased. It's the perfect light yet cozy layering piece and I only wish it came in more colors. At 5' 8" and 155 lbs, I ordered a Medium and it fit exactly as I'd hoped. It drapes well, the arms are not overly tight, and it's a good length (not cropped and boxy but not so long that it looks like I'm an extra in The Matrix). After washing it on cool and drying on low, it didn't noticeably shrink and, if anything, became even softer. It seems well made, also. No loose threads or splitting seams. I've been wearing it as a layering piece to and from the gym and feel like it elevates my regular athletic gear. If it came in charcoal gray or olive, I'd be buying those in a heartbeat. Read more

This is a nice pink blush color and the fabric is soft and warm. It hangs kinda weird because it's a bit long and frumpy and the fabric has a tendency to stick to your other clothes but it's a good price and is nice for lounge wear or a cold office. Read more

This is soft and fits cute and if it were a true, pure white I would have kept it. But it’s going back to Amazon. It’s essentially very thin sweatshirt material and very comfy, but you can see the gray running thru it! So when it’s on, it has a muted grayish/beige-ish look. This is a nice, light sweater to add an extra layer of warmth without being too hot. It's thin and has a bit of a stretch to it so it's not too constricting, and it softens up when you wash it so it's very comfortable. It lays nicely and is not bulky. I wear it over tees or pajamas for an extra layer. It runs big. I normally wear a women's medium in shirts, and I ordered a small in this, and it fits perfectly - not tight, but not too roomy. It does run long, but it's long enough that I can tie the bottom edges up in a small knot if I don't want it to hang down. It also has small pockets. Overall I really like this sweater for an extra layer to wear around the house, and it's nice and basic enough that I could wear it out too if I wanted. My only complaint is that it's a bit longer than I'd like - I'm 5'4" and it hangs down past my hips (to about mid-thigh) - and there isn't a way to shorten it or fasten the long sides of it together without tying it in a knot. I have another similar sweater that has inside flaps so that one side can fit into the other, making it like a wrap, and I prefer that, but overall this is a nice sweater that does it's job. I get very hot very easily. I have tattoos on my arm that I like to cover while at work. I also work with sex offenders and need something that hides the shape of my body well (e.g. modest). During the hotter months, when I don’t have a 3/4 quarter length shirt to wear or a tunic, I need something light to cover up with. This has been the *perfect* solution. I like mine very loose and long, so I got the largest size even though realistically I could fit in a small or medium. Despite this, it looks fine because it had a nice flowy look to it (though I will say the sleeves are a bit long due to buying a bigger size). I first bought the black/grey one and then the heathered white one. They are as cool (temperature wise) as you can get, aside from linen-style kimonos/cardigans! It’s 100% cotton, very soft/cozy, and SUPER thin. It has pockets that are functional. I only paid $23 and I find that to be reasonable. I think some shoppers will dislike how thin this is and I could see how some might see it as “robe like,” but if you are wearing it with the right outfit that shouldn’t be the case. Read more
