Amazon Essentials womens Soft Fisherman Cable Long-Sleeve Crewneck Sweater Available in Plus Size

I've been wanting a red sweater like this for a long time! I was pleasantly surprised it's 100% cotton. The fit is slim but it's not tight, it has quite a bit of stretch to it. It is mid-weight and it feels breathable which is refreshing for me because I run hot. It will keep you warm but not overly warm. If it's very cold it will probably be great with a long-sleeve layer under it. I'm 5'9", 135lbs. I usually wear a small to medium or 6 to 8 US in tops. This sweater is a Medium and plenty long. The sleeves are just right, I often have trouble with sleeves being too short as a tall girl. The bottom band of the sweater doesn't hug my hips like many tops that sit below the hips do. It also hides my "mommy tummy". FOR PEOPLE WITH SENSORY ISSUES: It's not scratchy but not super soft either. Having sensory issues, I can say that it's pretty comfortable. I only tried it on for a few minutes with a short sleeved tee on under. The texture on my arms bothered me a little but I will probably get used to it after a bit. If not, I can comfortably put a long sleeve layer under it since the sleeves aren't tight (but I do have skinny arms). We'll see how it does with wear and washing but so far I think it's fantastic! I have been looking for this type of sweater for years ... and I mean more than a decade! COTTON (!!), soft, classic, midweight (heavy enough to look great after washing), relaxed fit, warm but NOT bulky. I go with X-Large so I can put a shirt underneath, but they’re NOT sloppy on their own. These sweaters are the quality I used to find at Talbot’s and Coldwater Creek. I finally gave up on wearing my winter sweaters because they were all too warm. I gave them away and replaced them with 'Amazon Essentials' sweaters. These launder well, but treat them with care. I go with a gentle cycle, cold, dried on 'extra low' for ONLY 10 minutes to get them started toward dry. Then dry flat, as recommended. This is quality merch, not something to throw in with jeans and other things with zippers!! I love the fact that I could find jewel tones as well as black. If you like pastels, they are here, too. I bought the incorrect sweater, and didn’t realize it until I cut the tag off to try it on. I had multiple tabs open in my iPad, and I had ordered another small cable knit sweater, which is also called Amazon Essentials Cable Knit Sweater. However that one says lightweight in the description and this one says fisherman. I like this, but I don’t love it, I wanted the oversized look, I plan on wearing them over long sleeve tee shirts, or long sleeve bodysuits in the fall winter. Amazon offers the same items with varying prices and I’m creating my fall and winter clothes collection as things go on sale. Fit: A little smaller than the other Amazon Essentials Lightweight Long Sleeve Cable Knit Sweater. Material: Heavier weight than the other sweater, definitely will be nice during winter. Color: Very pretty pale pink. I tried it on with khaki knee length stretchy jeans type of mini skirt, light jeans, dark jeans, and white jeans and it looks cute with everything. Also no evidence was left on my wide leg black dress pants after trying it on with those, so it is a nice quality sweater, that doesn’t appear to shed, especially if you get it on sale. Over all, I am happy, but not as happy as I am with the other sweater. My bad for not paying attention while ordering, but I’m taking off one star, because IMO it doesn’t fit like the other large, even though it’s big on me, it doesn’t give the same look or feel as the other sweater. I need to review that style as well, because I purchased 6 of that style, 3 medium and 3 large size, and I’m keeping all 6. I got this sweater in both the dark green and the cream and love them both. Can’t beat the price for 100% cotton and they’re a good medium weight for layering. I’m usually a small/medium and got the medium and it fits true to size to me, but does stretch out after wearing all day so I think I could have gone with a small too and been fine. The dark green is really pretty with more of an evergreen/blue undertone. Will buy more! Read more

This is a BEAUTIFUL, well made, thick, soft, cozy sweater! I purchased as a gift for my Mother. It has a nice heavy weight and she will be able to layer it perfectly. Love the fabric and the cable knit detail. A high end sweater at a very good price. I will buy more! Read more

I’m disappointed in this one and I had high hopes after reading reviews. I like a longer sleeve and these were on the short side to short for me and didn’t fit right under the arm. I will say they are a good quality and medium weight. The pattern is also cute and just as pictured. I find they stretch to much just from trying it on. They would be good for layering a longer sweater sleeve shirt under for colder days and a tank top for more mild weather. All in all a good sweater if you don’t like a longer sleeve and mind the stretch. If you’re looking for a form fit you don’t get it with this sweater, but will get a comfortable looser fit in the body from them. These sweaters are fantastic! They fit really well, are warm and soft, and look much more expensive than they actually are. I’ve been impressed with how well they hold up in the wash—I lay them flat to dry, and they keep their shape beautifully.
