I have been using the Amazon Fire TV Stick HD (latest model) for 10 months, and I can say it has been an excellent purchase. The setup was quick and easy, and the remote with Alexa makes navigating between apps like Netflix, Prime Video, and others very convenient. I love being able to watch live TV for free, yes, free, one of those things you think no longer exists 😅 and also control my smart home devices from the same remote. It's super convenient to have everything in one place. The HD picture quality remains sharp, and the performance is smooth. It just takes a little time to connect when you turn it on, but once it's ready, everything works seamlessly. Got this to replace my old fire stick, it's about 6 years old and was barely working, and if it did it was slow as all get out. This one booted up immediately, and I am able to select my apps instantly and everything comes in crystal clear so I am absolutely thrilled! Setup was a breeze, considering I already have fire sticks in my home I just selected to use my existing accounts, maybe had to download some of my streaming apps but other than that it was perfect! The newest Amazon Fire TV Stick HD works really well. The Alexa Voice Remote is responsive, and the smart‑home controls make it easy to adjust things without getting up. My only real wish is that I could choose what the four shortcut buttons at the bottom link to. They’re preset to specific services, and it would be much more useful if I could swap them out based on the subscriptions I actually use. Prior review blamed fire stick for not working. Reached out and researched possible solutions; very frustrating. We found out, by process of elimination, that the older TV was the reason the firestick wouldn’t pair. Instead of returning it, the fire stick is now in service. I've updated my review. Read more
