This filter was purchased because we got a new dog that sheds a bit. This air filter is a great value and an awesome investment if you have a pet that sheds. Please make sure you remove the plastic from the pre-installed filter. Runs well. Runs on its own. I don't even notice its on sometimes. It fits into a corner. Not sure how to measure its effectiveness. Nice design, not too big. Read more

We loved it so much we bought another for our bedroom that only has one window and doesn’t get much airflow. The fan started to make a noticeable squeaking noise after less than a month, however Nikki with AMEIFU customer support was very helpful and offered to send me a replacement under warranty. So I've purchased 2 of these at different times on sale ... same exact model for around 80$ to clarify I don't feel I lost mich at that price ... moving on this design man it's weird the control panel is orientated facing away from the suction side so if you put this say in your bedroom it would face the wall since the intake is the back and it directs the output air in the same direction essentially it would be up against the wall pulling from the wall and blowing air against the wall...weird now positives it does provide a decent flow of air so in the bedroom aimed at the bed I get a nice breeze, noise while relatively quiet at slightly louder then a fan if both were at full speed in the living room it tends to drown out the TV I find myself turning the volume higher then I used to.. filter replacement at full suction continuous a filter lasts about a month to two months so price that out ... also so far this think does not cover the square footage as advertised at 1740 square ft, my entire house is like 1400 square feet I have two of these things one in my largest room and one in the master bedroom ... neither have made a noticeable difference in air quality or dust accumulation....so...not sure also the auto features seem weird it just turns on at random intervals at random speeds supposedly to "test air quality" also if don't interact with it regularly as in I turn it on full blast and leave it...you'll never know it needs a new filter it doesn't tell you unless you interact with the controls since the control panel goes to sleep after 30seconds Read more
