Melt blown is a nice surprise. My home has a water well. I have used rope type filters and other material filters for decades. One filter I tried and I will never use again is the carbon block type. I find them too restrictive. So this melt blown type was something new and a great find as an affordable option to other filters that have been creeping up in cost lately. They are good solid filters with great non-restrictive flow. Water taste isn't remarkably different. Cost is better than other similar filters. I'd buy again. Read more

Hoping these are superior to string wound filters

My husband and I usewell water that contains some clay sediment and have used water filters for about 20 years. Normally we use string wound filters, but having read about the meltblown type we are interested to see how these filters compare. From my reading online, these filters should give better filtration as they are more compact than string wound filters. They are the correct size for our filtration unit, seem sufficiently solid, and fit well, without any leaks. Only time will tell how they compare with our usual filters. When I have more information, I will update this review. For now, the filters seem to work. Read more
