Amodex Ink Stain Remover 1oz Bottle

Amazing product! This pulled a nasty dark ink stain from my white leather chair. I followed the directions, but was thinking the closest I could get to a complete and totally perfect result was a faint, light shadowy stain. I wiped the area with a wet cloth and called it quits. Overnight the remainder of the ink stain totally disappeared. No one would ever know there was even a drop of ink on that chair. This stuff really works! I highly recommend it. Read more

My mother had a Sharpie explode on tan carpet last year. I tried everything to get it up at the time nothing worked due to the volume of ink. Tried all the home remedies and different supplies without much luck. Picked some of this stuff up a few months later and worked like a charm. I put a dime size glob on the stain and scrubbed it in. at first I was worried since it looked like it was getting larger but after about 5 minutes I ran the little handheld shampooer over it and it pulled all the ink out. My mind is totally blown by how effective it was. I didn't notice any chemical smells or anything from it. I'll definetely be buying a larger bottle to keep on hand in the future. Read more

Update: September 9, 2020: Someone got ink on their fingers from a printer and the suggestions on the internet to use hair spray, alcohol, tea tree oil, or shop hand cleaner to remove the ink are a joke...It didn't remove an ounce of the stain. So...I thought why not try Amodex? I let the Amodex soak into the skin for 2 minutes and then gently scrubbed it away with an old toothbrush, and it removed everything! The Amodox is gentle on your skin and has the texture of hand lotion. Amazing! My family has used this many times for many different stains and this is our third time that we have purchased this product. The key in using this stain remover is to follow the directions inside the box, (they are different for different types of stains) and allow the product to remain on the stain for at least 3 hours or more. If you are impatient and you think that the product can remove a stain from something in 5 minutes, IT CAN'T. I feel that some of the reviewers on this product don't allow enough time for this product to work. I didn't either at first. It needs time to remove the stain. I let it set on the stain for 3 hours and came back to it and the stain was gone! I then gently rinsed out the area with water with a clean white towel and patted it dry. It was a little more difficult to remove a stain that was on the vertical portion of my leather inside car door, someone accidentally bumped it with their ball point pen. The stain remover works best on a flat, level surface. After trying this product on a permanent black magic marker, red nail polish, a raspberry stain, a red wine stain on clothes and a pen stain, it has removed every stain from a variety of surfaces including carpet, leather, clothes and vinyl. My latest test was when someone spilled a drop of black wood stain on my pure white carpeting. After following the directions, I was able to remove the black wood stain in about 3 hours. I can't say enough great things about this product; I would buy stock in this company if I could. Remember: Be patient and FOLLOW THE DIRECTIONS INSIDE THE BOX and you will be the next person writing a great review on this product. Update 12-15-16: It just took out dark hair dye out of a woman's cotton shirt. I put Saran wrap underneath the stain, so it wouldn't bleed to the other side while it removed the stain. I waited 24 hours and re-applied one more coating, then washed in in Tide with cold water in my washing machine and the stain is gone. This product takes a while (24-48 hours) to do the job, but it never lets me down. Anyone who writes a bad review on this product probably didn't read the directions which state to not wash out the stain with water in advance and never use hair spray on the stain, it only sets the stain more. I recently decided to give this product a try and am glad I did. One thing I've found it effective at is cleaning sweat stains from shirt collars. But what really impressed me was the result when I decided to try it on some old (read: years) pen stains. I once put an open pen in my pocket while wearing a pair of work trousers I really like, and it left several ink stains that soaked through to the front. Washing, even after treating the stains with Oxi, didn't do much good. The stains were small enough that I couldn't quite bring myself to toss the trousers, but they didn't get much use after that. Then I treated them with Amodex, figuring it was probably far too late but couldn't hurt to try, and was amazed to see it make a dent in those stains. I really went to work on them at that point (it's not like they just instantly melted away). And in the end the stains washed out. Mostly, at least; they're still visible on the inside of the pocket, but what do I care about that? A pair of trousers that I thought I'd almost ruined is now, years later, entirely presentable again. Read more

This product should be in your arsenal of stain-removing products. I bought this attempting to remove what was "color run" paint off of a beige colored cotton t-shirt for my son. While it did not fully remove the blueish stain, it did however fade to a point that it is not as noticeable. Work a try as Shout and Spray&Wash failed to work in my case. Read more

This is an amazing product and really works! Had an ink stain on a vinyl recliner and it was an old stain too. I read the reviews and by the way, there are some great TIPS in these customers reviews. So I applied AMODEX on the stain on the recliner and left it overnight - next day it was gone. Highly highly recommend. This product is now a must-have in my household. Read more

I have used this stain remover for many things but the best example of how it works is that it took off Sharpie Marker from a white t-shirt! Sharpie Marker is permanent! I was so happy to see how well it worked. After seeing how well it works, I bought more to put in my three daughters-in-law's Christmas stockings.
