Print is larger enough for aging eyes. The individual compartment lids are made of thick plastic that seems durable from repeated opening and closing. Each compartment snaps and secures the pills. Once the lids are snapped to close, the medication is securely kept inside. I’ve had no spillage. Re-opening the lids are easy too. They also make traveling easier. This is the BEST pill organizer I've used since 2003! It's great for everyday use. Even though it is nice & compact, the space in each compartment is ample! The weekday, and the morn,noon,&night labels are very easy to see without needing your glasses. The case that holds the pill holders has a sturdy zipper as well as a strap. It is so easy that if you go away for a week, or weekend, you don't need to do anything extra other than pack the case! If you're gonna be gone for the whole day, just take that day with you-it closes securely so if you stick it in your pocket, it won't open & mix ur pills up.
