For reference, I’m 5’7”, 160 lbs., with a 40” bust and 30” waist, and I typically wear a size large. I went back and forth quite a bit on sizing because the size chart differed slightly from what I normally order. In the end, I decided to follow the size guide and size up — and I’m really glad I did. The fit is exactly what I was hoping for. If you’re between sizes or right on the borderline, I would recommend sizing up if you want that loose, flowy look shown in the listing. If you prefer a more fitted silhouette or anticipate losing weight, your true size would likely work just fine. The elastic waistband has some stretch, and you can cinch and tie it tighter if needed, which adds flexibility to the fit. The colors are just as vibrant in person as they appear online. The skirt also has hidden pockets (always a huge plus!) and includes an inner slip, which makes it feel secure and not see-through. That extra lining definitely adds confidence while wearing it. I washed it in cold water and dried it on low heat. It didn’t shrink or lose its shape, which I appreciated. It did come out with some wrinkles, but with the flowy style of the skirt, they weren’t very noticeable while wearing. I do wonder if taking it out of the dryer immediately would help minimize that. Comfort-wise, it’s excellent. The fabric moves beautifully when walking and doesn’t feel stiff at all. It flows nicely and feels lightweight without being flimsy. On me, it hit right at the ankles, which was the perfect length. Overall, this has quickly become one of my favorite skirts. It’s comfortable, flattering, practical (hello, pockets!), and a great value for the price. I would absolutely recommend it as a versatile addition to any wardrobe. Read more
I am a 26 in waist, 28in inseam, 120 lbs, 5'2 and wear a 32D. I typically order a XS/S and a petite when I can get it, finding clothes that fits well can be a challenge for me, I ordered a size small in this. This skirt if I wear it at my belly button (high waisted style) falls to slightly past my ankles, which for a maxi skin in a regular size is a win in my book. The drawstring is helpful to make it fit snugly against my waist. I would say if you're on the more petite side size down. It is flowy and beautiful and has excellent sized pockets which was a great detail. It is 95% Polyester so can be warm compared to a cotton counter part however it is stunning. I ordered the Color Coffee Floral, the print is exactly as listed, even though the listed picture is computer generated. I've washed it with my normal clothes on cold and normal agitation and thrown it in the dryer on a medium temperature and no damage! The double lining of the skirt is excellent and makes me feel more confident to wear it so school as teacher. Overall its something I grab for a lot when its not sweltering outside and love the ruffles on it. I'd recommend you get it if you are shorter and okay with wearing it higher, otherwise it may be too long for us short people. Read more
This is a nice skirt, if you don't mind synthetic fiber. I prefer natural fibers as synthetic does not breathe against the skin (no matter how many times a description says "soft breathable fabric") but I tend to wear cotton chemise or petticoats underneath long skirts, so this is fine for me in this instance. There is a drawstring in addition to the elastic, so that if the elastic stretches out over time you can still tighten the skirt, or if you size up you can tighten it with the drawstring to fit. The print I ordered was called "coffee floral," but there is no brown in it. It is a white, tomato red, sky blue, and golden yellow-orange floral pattern on a black background with black topstitching and a black partial lining. You can see in the photos how the lining is much shorter than the skirt. The skirt does have side seam pockets deep enough for my hands. I like it and will wear it often enough to keep it. I wish it were a little fuller and would of course prefer natural fiber, but I knew it was synthetic when I ordered it. I think the listing photo looks a little fuller than the actual skirt is. This skirt is so well made! I love that it has a sewn in lining that reaches approximately up to my knee. The skirt itself is 36 inches long, which on me, makes it floor length. I am 5‘4“. Because of the way it is constructed, with an elastic waistband and a drawstring, it can be worn by many different body types and still give each person the right fit and look flattering. The fabric has an interesting lacy, gauze like texture that can be seen really well in a few of the photos that I took. I would say that the movement of this material is more stiff than flowing, but it still wears well. The skirt is sewn into a ruffled, layered look and has two functional pockets, which is always nice. This is an easy to care for garment that can be machine washed on cold and tumbled dry. I have worn and washed mine already with no shrinkage. Taken out of the dryer just as the cycle ends, it was wrinkle free. I am very happy with this skirt and it felt very comfortable on. This is one of those very versatile pieces that can be dressed up or down and because it’s black, goes with any color you pair it with. In my opinion, this skirt was a very reasonably priced. And because it was well-made, it should give me many years of wear. I highly recommend this product! Read more
