No adjusting necessary - It wasn't distracting like other headpieces others wore with dangling jewels or pearls and/or feathers - It didn't feel like a huge piece of jewelry on my head along with even more jeweled and sequined dress. - I like having 2 choices to wear (silver/crystal or gold/crystal) Even though the pictures for the item show it worn as a traditional headband, I wore it directly across my forehead (like other typical Roaring 20's headbands. The only bad (?) part is that when I did take it off at night, there was a small imprint on my forehead from the rhinestones but the marks were gone by the time I washed my face. Side note: I have pretty bad metal allergies (can only wear pierced earrings that are 14 ct. gold or better or sterling silver. I DID NOT have any problem with this headband against my bare skin.
