Beautiful bed! At this price point you cannot go wrong. It has an extra bar across the mid section to enable it to be a bit more sturdy than the one it replaced. The bed frame is really good quality. However the bed frame headboard is a bright white fuzzy material. So if you sit up use a pillow to not have your hair dirty it. And you will need to steam clean it every so often to avoid germs. But we have a king size and it holds perfectly. The panels are strong and there’s no dipping or bent issues. Good quality bed, very sturdy - the bed frame is metal, so if you're the type to stub your toes, this may not work for you. No issues with the mattress staying in place. Keep in mind the size of the mattress when purchasing, as the one I have isn't the thickest - since this frame doesn't require a box spring, this creates a gap between the headboard & the frame, so pillows may fall through. I've just used a bolster to keep this from happening. The shelf is great for books, charging your phone, or just to have a dedicated spot to put your glasses at the end of the night. Great value! Just built and so in love! We upgraded to a king size bed. Took 1.5 hours to build. Pretty simple to follow instructions just double check to make sure the slates are upright, I did but I also read another review who had the slates facing down and also make sure the holes line up right it was a little tricky on the inside but once I figured it out went pretty smooth. My husband did help but mostly just help the pieces in place. All pieces were in the box and nothing was damaged. Very stable. haven't slept in it yet but have sat on it and it didnt move around like our last bed. So far not noisy. Perfect price for this bed set. Now just need to paint.
