Andalou Naturals Shampoo Fluid Ounce Complex Color Care 1000 Roses 11 5 Fl Oz

I really love how this shampoo is for my thick hair, but also for my sensitive scalp & skin. I didn't necessarily buy it due to it's use for color treated hair, but I do actually add color stain to the increasing white streaks in my naturally black hair (Splat hair color, it's amazing), so, it's great for that too. I mainly bought it because it seemed like it was a good formula for those of us with sensitive skin, plus it had a nice, gentle but natural rose scent. Wow! This has been one of the best shampoos (& conditioners) I've found in a long time! Lots of other "sensitive skin formula" shampoos actually burned my scalp, this one gives me no scalp issues at all. Even when I don't use the conditioner, my hair is glossy, shiny, bouncy & feels softly clean, but not stripped dry. My hair has it's natural waves, not frizzy, but also not left with any product in it, making it hang lank & dull either. The scent is natural, not heavy & perfume'y. It is a low suds formula, as stated on the bottle, so don't expect big, frothy foamy suds right away, but this also makes it easier to rinse out. It works even better when combined with the coordinating regular conditioner! I love Andalou products... always clean and healthy for you. I often get compliments on my hair. It’s mid-length and has a natural multicolor tones (light/dark browns with red and silver highlights). I have never used dyes or henna. I am always searching for healthy products (no preservatives, SLS, etc), and often have to use more than one conditioner to get the look and feel I’m after. My greatest battle has been dealing with the hard water we have here on the west coast. My routine? I rinse my hair in the shower most days (or use a spray bottle), I shampoo every 3 days, but use conditioners daily AFTER the shower. I typically search for lightweight conditioners I can leave in my hair to “crunch” the curl and let it dry naturally. The right conditioners allow me to comb thru my hair with my fingers, don’t leave a sticky residue and help maintain a nice curl without feeling stiff or weighted down. Leave-in conditioners are typically more expensive, rarely produce the effects I want, and often dry out my hair. That said, this rose conditioner has become my absolute favorite! Not only does it help maintain my curls and leave my hair soft, shiny and manageable, it smells so wonderful! So, I tried it on my 4yr old granddaughter to see if it would detangle her straight, but often ratty morning hair... and it works like a charm. 😊 Of course, she loves the rose smell, too... None of the hard to pronounce artificial and chemical ingredients of many popular shampoos. I have to use hypoallergenic products and though this doesn't exactly make that claim, it works for me. It has kind of a heavy smell of roses but don't worry - the scent doesn't last. You can enjoy the scent while shampooing but its gone by the time your hair is dry. Very nice. Read more

I normally love this product, but the last bottle I purchased has no scent whatsoever. It's like it was incorrectly filled with unscented conditioner. If I had started using it before the return window expired, I would have sent it back. The product still works well on my hair, however, now I don't know what the next bottle will be like. i think this is a great formula. i had been usuing it for a number of years. i have fine hair and it can be hard to find shampoos that can work out well with it, but this one does. it seems plentifully hydrating. i am so glad to re-find it on amazon. Read more

I have used this for years and ordered a new bottle, not realizing it's been changed. I don't know what they did, but it smells AWFUl. Rancid and just atrocious. I thought it might have been an old bottle because sometimes oils can go rancid so I happened to be i nthe area of a store that sells them and went to check and nope, the bottles in the store smell AWFUL too. So sad because I LOVE the smell of it before the change. I will not be purchasing again. While I was in the store I picked out a different conditioner that smells better and will continue with that. This has been an amazing product for my daughter's hair. It gets quite dry because of dye and chlorine. A teeny amount of this product makes it silky and soft again. It smells amazing too! It's a little pricey, but only a very small amount is necessary. Read more

Good quality and feels good and natural to use. Quick to absorb. It does not leave a oily residue like commercial conditioner, but one may think it is not "thick" enough. I prefer the natural ones so this is good for me. Smells nice too. Natural conditioner is difficult to find and this is good and cheap. Read more
