Metal guide combs are 100% THEE WAY TO GO if you use guides. I've considered plastic 'good enough' for 7 years.....NO, THEY ARE NOT! Spend some extra money, and Get Metal!! Smoother cut, less hair catching, virtually no 'lines' in your work and much more accurate length and cut overall. I have not tried other brands of metal combs, but grabbed these since I happen to have an Andis clipper. LITERALLY, Disappointed it took me so long to get over the extra cost and buy them.
