Metal guide combs are 100% THEE WAY TO GO if you use guides. I've considered plastic 'good enough' for 7 years.....NO, THEY ARE NOT! Spend some extra money, and Get Metal!! Smoother cut, less hair catching, virtually no 'lines' in your work and much more accurate length and cut overall. I have not tried other brands of metal combs, but grabbed these since I happen to have an Andis clipper. LITERALLY, Disappointed it took me so long to get over the extra cost and buy them. These work well and seem well made. They come in a nice clear plastic case, but it broke on day 1 when I dropped it. Would like a more durable case. They are a little expensive, but I don't think there are any other options for the Andis trimmers. Read more
