The Most Comfortable Underwear for Men
I've bought hundreds of dollars of men's underwear, from name brands like FOTL, Hanes, Calvin Klein, Adidas, Reebok, etc. and even off-brands like Wirapa. These flannel underwear are by far the most comfortable. Until recently, I had been wondering if all men's underwear were designed by the devil. I can't believe that name brands put stitching right down the middle; that's just anatomically incorrect. Maybe gruff men don't notice or just ignore the friction that causes, but if you have sensitive skin (or soreness in the groin area), it's a nightmare. Many of the ones that don't have stitching down the middle have seams that arc, designed for urinating, but the problem with these seams is that they still overlap the scrotum, which creates another friction issue. Then some brands include tags. I even found a name brand with a button right in the center, inconveniently located. Finally, if they manage to avoid all of these common problems, then the underwear is made of material that doesn't feel soft. One of the name brands felt too much like cardboard. Wirapa, an off-brand, came pretty close and I used it for several weeks, but they have a little stitching which I guess is designed to provide sac support (or is just the result of trying to make the fabric curve), but became painful after too much use. Then yet other underwear come pretty close, but either the waist or the thighs are too tight or way too loose. These flannel underwear are so soft I don't notice anything, and the fit is amazing. There is a 1-inch slat down the middle instead of a single line of stitching, and it's incredibly soft. I'm very sensitive and don't notice the underwear at all. The only other underwear I've found that I can actually wear is Pair of Thieves. They were clever and have the stitching/seam go in two lines clear around all genitalia so it doesn't rub against any part of your family jewels. If you look at compression pants, they have V-shaped or U-shaped stitching that goes around the jewels whereas if you look at sweats, they invariably have one line of stitching down the middle. Pair of Thieves is one of the few brands of underwear or pants that use the V-shaped or U-shaped method of stitching/seaming (like you would see in compression pants, but don't worry, Pair of Thieves isn't compression underwear). I prefer these flannel underwear for casual use or cold weather, and Pair of Thieves when I will be physically active enough to sweat. Read more
