Terrific charging base especially when paired with the 26K (300W) power bank. It allows the power bank to work in pass through mode. It also manages the power bank to perform efficiently by cycling between 90-100%. Now I can have the power bank charging my 2 laptops while being recharged on top of the power base. Read more

I’m really impressed with this charging base — setup was very easy, the quality packaging was excellent, and the Anker app makes it so simple to watch exactly where all the power is going (which is a nice touch if you like to monitor your charging flow). This thing is truly ultra-fast compared to regular docks. The two USB-C ports push out strong power (up to 140 W and 100 W) and there’s even a USB-A port if you need it — so you can quickly charge laptops, phones, tablets, and more all at once. Important tip: If you want to take full advantage of its blazing 150 W pogo-pin recharging speed, you’ll need a Prime-series power bank that supports 150 W pogo-pin input — the base alone doesn’t make a power bank magically faster. Only the high-end Prime power bank models that support 150 W pogo-pin charging will hit that max speed. Specifically, Anker’s Prime Power Bank 26,250 mAh (300 W) is the one confirmed to support the full 150 W pogo-pin recharge speed on this base, so if you want the fastest possible recharge on your power bank, that’s the model to pair it with. Pros: • Easy setup and great packaging • App shows real-time power distribution • Fast charging for multiple devices simultaneously • Pogo pin makes docking effortless Cons: • You do need a compatible high-end Prime power bank (the 26k/300W model) to see the fastest 150 W recharge — lesser or older power banks will still work, but won’t charge at the full 150 W speed. Overall — great device for cutting cable clutter and powering up everything quickly. Just be aware you’ll need the right power bank to unlock the full 150 W charging potential! Read more

This unit is solidly constructed. It is slightly larger than the older unit but more versatile and charges markedly faster than the older model pin charger. Note the older model has only 5 pins but the newer model has 9 pins. It charges up to 4 devices at a max of 150 watts. It has 2 usb C ports and 1 usb A port for wide compatibility. The only negative that I have found ( a big one) is that you CANNOT leave your power bank on the pogo pins once it it charged. The unit will slowly discharge over several days and eventually the voltage will drop to the point that the bank is bricked. I returned 2 units to the manufacturer before I figured out what was going on. The manufacturer was good about replacing the unit. After the second replacement, they offered a partial refund of about 50%. However once I determined that you have to remove the bank from the POGO pins once charged, I elected to keep it. The unit is powerful, reasonable weight, easy to use, and does not get hot while charging. Overall this is a good purchase but keep in mind the limitations listed above. Read more

Here’s a full breakdown of what I like and don’t like. Likes: 1. Having an Anker Prime battery bank, it is really cool to be able to drop on the connector and charge quickly. It has a magnetic connection so it is very easy to align (which I was worried about). 2. Has multiple ports 2 USB-C and 1 USB A. And…prime connector so you can technically charge 4 devices at once. 3. It has a cool blue light that animates when you start charging devices. It goes solid once device is charging. 4. Has plenty of power. I was only able to achieve 90watts but that is most likely my battery bank not the product being reviewed. 5. Has a nice weight to it. Feels premium like all Anker products. Don’t like: -IT DOESN’T allow pass through charging when it is docked on the base. This is a major drawback. Many times I will charge the power bank and use the power bank to charge a device. When docked, it will not allow you to use the bank to charge a device. My power does allow this when it is hardwired. 1. It doesn’t come with a ground on the power cable. It seems like that would be a good idea when dealing with electronics. 2. Price is a little high but so is 150watt charger. 3. It’s a little bulky for its purpose. It will take up precious desk space. Summary: If you have a Anker prime bank this is a must have. The convenience of being to drop the bank on the charger without any cables is really nice to have. This is powerful enough to charge laptops or pretty much anything you throw at it. It would be nice to have a display at this price point though. Most Anker products do. It would also be nice to have a ground wire for future products. They seem to be absent on newer Anker products and not sure why. Read more

I’ve been using this Anker Prime charging base for a bit now, and it has quickly become my main charging station at my desk. The biggest draw for me was how fast it charges the Prime power bank. Dropping it on the base and seeing it jump to 50 percent in around twenty minutes actually feels noticeable in day to day use, especially when I’m heading out and forgot to charge earlier. I also like that I can charge multiple things at once without juggling cables. I usually have my laptop on one USB C port, my phone on the other, and something smaller on the USB A port, all while the Prime power bank is charging on the base. Everything charges reliably and I have not noticed any throttling or overheating. The pass through charging is more useful than I expected. I can leave devices plugged in and not worry about unplugging anything when I set the power bank down to recharge. The lighting effect is a small touch, but it is actually helpful to see at a glance that charging has started. Build quality feels solid and premium, which is what I expect from Anker. It stays put on the desk and does not feel flimsy. Overall, this charging base makes managing multiple devices much simpler and really complements the Prime power bank if you already have one.
