During my experiments, I must state that this gadget performed much better than I had anticipated in terms of identifying any concealed cameras and microphones. I am aware that it is sensitive enough to detect anything that is suspicious since it was able to detect the little spy cameras that I purposely concealed in a variety of things. Both the warning tones and the signal strength display are helpful in determining the precise position of the source. The alarm tones clearly show when it is picking up transmission signals. To do a complete scan, you just need to turn it on and carefully move it about the regions that you are worried about; the process takes no more than five to ten minutes. Running it along walls, lights, smoke alarms, and other typical areas where little cameras may conceal themselves is something I like doing. When investigating higher areas, the telescopic antenna's usefulness comes into play. Both the alarm and the flashing display are activated by any RF transmissions. Read more
At my residence: I had several cams plug-in/wireless, none were detected, countless false alarms, including magnets and inconsistencies in alarms/non alarms in repeated tours/tests. Spent several days trying all sensitivity settings. Would never recommend this product. Read more

The RF signal detection mode works pretty well as it detects low levels of RF (Wi-Fi in my case). I can follow the strength meter to locate where my Wi-Fi router is. It makes it easy to find dead spots in your house. However, not sure how well it does on a device that transmits to the router. It didn’t really detect my robot vacuum cleaner when I held it right near it. It did detect my computer’s WiFi, though. At first when I turned on the magnetic detection, I thought it was full spectrum continuously. I rotated the dial the full distance both ways and it constantly registered detection even when I went outside away from everything. Somehow, I accidentally turned it slowly to a more central location on the switch and the detection disappeared. Turns out that it’s really sensitive at both extremes of the dial. Turn it slowly until it disappears, adjust it as per the instructions, then it will detect even weak magnets. Infrared detection works pretty well. I tested it on incandescent bulbs in a bathroom. I started in the hallway with no lights and no signal, but as I entered the bathroom a signal was registered and gradually increased as I got closer to the lights. The one thing that didn’t seem to work very well is the one thing I figured would be the most useful. The camera detection uses 8 flashing red LED lights to reflect the light back at you off of the camera lens. The problem is that anything reflective will do the same thing. It comes down to a lot of tracing down reflections. Plus, on the camera on my phone, it only detected one of the two lenses. Not sure why. Amazon Vine sent this product to me for an honest unbiased review. Would I recommend it? Yes, it does what it’s designed to do, and it includes all those different detection methods because sometimes, one works better than another. Read more
