I've bought the more common sort of felt pads for furniture legs, the sort that you have to stick on, and these are definitely easier to use, and most effective in doing their job which is to keep furniture from scratching wood floors. I used this set of 'feet' for 6 antique dining chairs with round legs which I MEASURED to be sure to order the right diameter caps. They slid on fairly easily and were snug enough so that they won't come off by accident. The media could not be loaded. AMAZING. I’ve literally tried over 20 different kinds of chair feet protectors and none of them are as good as this. It took less than 10 seconds to put four of them on one chair. The legs on my chairs are 5/8” in diameter so I chose the one that is 1/2” to 5/8” sizes. They do not slip off when I lift the chair up but neither do I have to pry them off with pliers if I needed to clean them later. I hated moving the chairs before I found these because it was so loud and I do not want to be rude to the people down below. These solved every problem. I wish I could write them six stars. I've used pretty much everything under the sun for my dining room chairs over the last 30 years. These were by far the easiest to install and they work just fine. I cannot speak to how long they will last but am hopeful for a decent period of time. Not complex, a silicone sleeve with a felt bumper glued on. But they go on very well (round 3/4 inch legs) and hold on perfectly. They slide like any felt pad. I am buying an 'extra' set just in case, but hopefully won't need them. Should have ordered these years ago for the chairs on our tile porch outside, where the metal legs have been scraping the tiles and making terrible noise for so long. Now they are quiet as we sit and move the chairs, and the metal no longer damages the tiles. I had measured a front leg on a chair before ordering and never even noticed the back legs are slightly different. But the flexible design of these pads fits both, so we're all set! The only tiny downside is that a pad can come off if you catch it on something when moving a chair, but that's minor. Love them! Read more

I bought two different brands of basically the same item. This one doesn't have a hole like the other. I used them on the same chair, rear legs, one brand on each. I found them easy to install, very ugly, fit pretty well on my rectangular metal legs. They were installed for about 2 months, used about 2x a week on hardwood floors. I did not find any damage to the floor. They did not come off, as well as the thin padding remained in place. My only negative comment is that this brand did not seem to last as long as the other brand. as you can see in the photo, it appears to be worn down. I feel maybe they have slightly thinner padding than the other brand. However, i can recommend them. Read more

Pictured is the original cracked cap that came with my chair next to this new wonderful cap. I have tried every kind of cap/slider for my chair legs. They all either didn't fit right, didn't stay on, or started to deteriorate quickly. These caps slid on right over the crappy caps and fit snugly. They were so quick and easy to put on and my chairs now glide so smoothly and quietly on my floor. I wish I found these sooner. Buy these. Read more
