I need sun protection. The push of a button opens it & another push closes the umbrella. (It does need a little strength to push the closed umbrella down to the handle to close it completely in order to be able to reopen it again.) Besides rain, I use this for walking in sunlight. It helps with Florida's sun and heat. I love dragonflies and was so happy to find this umbrella. I even saw red dragonflies once when I was walking. Read more

This is absolutely lovely in person. Pictures do not do it justice. The colors are vibrant. It is a little snug going into the little cover, but I manage to get it in there. The parasol provides ample shade and it definitely cools things down significantly for me. My husband bought this for me because I have melanoma. He got uv protection tinting on our car, but he wanted to make certain I had protection outside of the car as well. I am quite pleased with this purchase. There are some other styles I would like to get at some point when I can afford to get more. This will definitely help me prevent more melanoma. It does what it claims and looks as it is supposed to look. This would be wonderful to receive as a gift for anyone who needs a bit more sun protection. I haven't used it in the wind yet, but I will update this after I do. My husband took this photo of me with my lovely parasol. I like that I can walk around my backyard wearing a chemise, and have some extra protection from the sun by carrying this parasol. Read more
I have a sun allergy, any little contact with UV lights and my skin breaks out in a rash. This umbrella does what it says. I can go for walks in broad daylight and it completely shields me. It's lightweight yet well built. Opens and closes easy. Nice and compact for carrying around a store. Beautiful artwork. Read more
