I bought this AOC portable monitor during a sale and it turned out to be a great deal. Being a well-known brand, the build quality definitely shows, the screen feels sturdy, slim, and very easy to carry around. Setup was truly plug-and-play with USB-C, no drivers needed, and it worked instantly with my Windows laptop or MacBook. The 1080p IPS display looks sharp and bright, it could be cooler if it's 2k or 4k, but for this price I get it. Perfect for work and watching videos, and play Switch Game, yes, Switch only support 1080p. I was pleasantly surprised by the built-in speakers, they’re actually quite decent for a portable monitor and good enough for game or viode without headphones. The media could not be loaded. Got this because sometimes I need to work on the go and really need a second monitor. The AOC 16T20 Portable Monitor is great if you need more screen space to work, watch videos, or use a second screen. It has a 15.6" FHD 1080p IPS Display, two USB-C ports, a mini HDMI port and built-in speakers. While it has an IPS display, the default brightness isn't great, so you'll need to crank it up a bit. The USB-C port in the middle serves as both a power and a display connector, allowing you to connect your mobile phone or computer with a Type-C cable. The mini HDMI can connect to a Nintendo Switch, but you need to attach a power cable to the monitor to use it. AOC also included a smart cover to protect it and keep it covered when it's not in use. It also serves as a stand for your monitor. Pretty nifty if you ask me. The built-in speakers are decent, but you might be better off using your laptop speakers or earphones/earbuds. Build quality is decent. It's got heft, so you have to be careful when you're handling it. As a portable second monitor, this AOC portable display is just awesome. It's a great way to get more work done when you have an extra monitor on hand. I use it when I need to go mobile and upload content for my site and socials. I use it on my laptop to get more screen space, and on my phone when I need a bigger display. And it's plug and play. No need to install a driver or anything. AOC Portable monitor display has been great so far. Exceeds my expectation for ease of setup and monitor quality. The monitor works well with Mac and Windows and compatible with USB C and HDMI (mini HDMI required). If you use the mini HDMI, you would also need to connect the USB C to power source. If using the USB C, USB C cable will be used for display and power. I would recommend the monitor for use as second monitor as the would definitely help with productivity on the road. Read more
The monitor itself is really good. It has bright and crisp pictures with goodn colors. However, the magnetic connection with its cover is weak. The cover won't stay on. Read more
Monitor works great. Really nice to have such a light weight monitor. 2 complaints 1. the included cord is like six inches too short. The usb-c on my laptop is on the left side and the plugs on this monitor are on the right side. So I have to run the cord the full length of both the monitor and the laptop. The supplied cord is just barely long enough to do this and is tight and putting pressure on the ports. Yes I know I could just put this on the other side but that’s just not how the desk is and not how I want it. 2. The stand is not what I want it be. I wish it had 3 grooves for viewing angle, because one is near straight up and the other is too played back. I ended up using a different type stand. All told I like it just little bit picks. I got this to use as a second screen when working away from my desk and it's been great. The display is sharp and bright — 1080p IPS at 15.6 inches looks really good and the colors are accurate. Setup was dead simple, just one USB-C cable from my laptop and it was good to go. No drivers, no fuss. The smart cover doubles as a stand which is a nice touch. It holds the monitor at a comfortable angle and feels reasonably sturdy. The built-in speakers are there if you need them, nothing amazing but functional. Mini HDMI is a bonus for connecting to other devices like a gaming console or a Raspberry Pi. Fits easily in a laptop bag alongside my laptop.
