For reference I'm 5'5, 180lbs, 38c, typically a size large or 14/16. I selected the 1x based on the size chart measurements-they are very close to accurate. So, while I typically wear something marked a few sizes smaller, just follow their size guide to get your accurate fit. The first thing that needs to be noted is that this is VERY short-waisted. I have a standard waistine-I am do not have a short torso or a long torso. If I'm not tugging the peplum top down, it has a natural tendency to sit higher. You can see my stomach through the center closure area, and I've included a picture pointing to where the waist seams are. This definitely should be about 2 inches longer in the torso in order to fit most women. (It appears my stomach is showing at the center in all front facing pics..) The skirt fits accurately. I measured 30" in length on my skirt, and the waist measurements match the size guide. The skirt has a hidden zipper that tends to catch near the top and requires me to spread the material away from the zipper to unzip. The material is thick, not see-thru, and yet it's lightweight and isnt too warm. The puffed sleeves have elastic. The covered buttons are sewn securely. All stitching is sewn well, no loose threads or missed stitches. The inside seams can be felt while wearing, but it's not uncomfortable. Material is on the rougher side, but once again, not uncomfortable. This dressy skirt set is very pretty and timeless. But I wish the torso had been made long enough to cover my stomach area and feel comfortable while wearing without having to constantly tug the top down. I will HAVE to try and figure out a way to tack the top to the skirt to keep it from riding up, and that is the reason for my rating reduction. This is a good value. Read more
