This pair of winter snow boots is super comfy and they fit true to size. They're well made with a great tread on the thick rubber sole to prevent slipping. There was no offensive odors when I opened the package. The upper part is described as faux leather on the item page, but feels like the a thin rubber that's stretchy. They have a soft, plush faux fur lining that sheds very little. They feel like the insulation between the inner lining and the outer material is foam rubber. The tongue is loose from the top of the boot down to a certain point, and then it is attached to the sides of the boot to make them good at being waterproof. The upper two "hooks" for the laces on them are actually enclosed metal loops for threading the laces through. I think those are much nicer than the traditional hooks with the open side on them. I have included a photo to better show what they are. Also a photo showing how the tongue is attached part way down from the top. I ordered this pair of boots in a size 9.5 and my regular shoe size is a 9. My feet are slightly wide, as well. I wanted to be able to have a bit of extra room to wear thicker wool socks in them and not feel squished from the sides. The half size up in these boots worked perfectly for me, without them feeling like a sloppy fit in normal thickness socks! There is no US size shown in or on the boots, but I did find a tag on the tongue that says 43, so I assume that is the European or Asian size. I'm super happy to have a pair of boots that fit so comfy, look great, are toasty warm, and grip whatever surface I'm walking on very well! I definitely will recommend these boots. They're nice for all types of winter activities and look really cute for wearing to go shopping, when needed. The current price (10-23-2025) of $35.99 is a good value, in my opinion.
