Cozy, Comfortable, and Warm (and super cute)

In an age of good quality fakes, you learn to think twice about claims that say "genuine suede". These do appear to be genuine suede even though the only marking on the boot itself is a small sewn-in label with the company name and the size. The box has a descriptive label which includes "genuine suede leather". They are extremely well-made and the linings completely cover the backs of the suede making absolute verification impossible. However, from experience and comparison to both real and fakes, these do appear to be the real deal. Other claims of plush lining, superior cushioning support, anti-slip, lightweight, warmth and cold resistance are accurate. They fit true to size. They are super comfortable with the "high elastic" outsole which initially had a slight chemical odor, but quickly dissipated overnight. It is nearly a 2" platform that balances being spongy enough for cushion with being stable enough that you don't sprain an ankle. The drawback here is that it tends to make the boot inflexible at the arch. The thickness prohibits bending when walking. Instead of the boot moving up with my heel, my heel lifts up from being cupped by the boot. It feels kind of like walking in a clog. Only time will tell if they develop some better flexibility. I have no plans to ever wear these in the snow even though they claim to be of "waterproof construction" and both "snow boots" and "fashion boots". I got them for the main purpose of wearing in and around the house, especially at night for foot warmth. They excel at this---cozy, comfortable, and WARM. I do think they'd be okay for a quick run to the grocery, and because I have no plans to do heavy "shopping" or lengthy "strolling" in them, I give them a 5. Read more

I had been wanting this style boot but didn't want to pay the brand name price. These work just fine. They are obviously not the quality of the pricier ones. The upper is a brushed fabric and not leather, and the footbed is not nearly as cozy as the name brand. But for the price of these, I am very happy. Definitely gives the vibe without the price tag, and I really just wanted them for at home anyway. Read more
