I’ve had this thing for a few months now and use it 5 days per week. It has functioned very well and heats up whatever I place in it. I generally plug it in 30-45 minutes before I eat, depending on the density and quantity of food. It’ll get it hot. I use plastic containers and haven’t had any issues using it as I’ve described. I do place a small towel over the container, inside the closed food warmer. Mainly because I like to have a sort of placemat with me, but also as extra insulation.
