Customers find the water filter easy to install, with one mentioning it comes with a screw-on compression fitting.
It is really a no brainer setup type system. Simple install on the sink counter top and then run the water for the specified run time to clear out the particulates from manufacturing process like all filters. We use it for drinking and cooking and the taste is great. It should last for at least a year, but I will replace the filter a month before its normal replacement interval. Read more
Firstly, I was very grateful for the included extra sizes of attachments, as I had to use the 4th washer I tried before getting a tight fit. Once that was found, it was an easy task to fit this. I'm in a decent water quality area anyway (rated 86 by zip code, where up to 500 is deemed "acceptable". Of course, bottled water needs to be 10 or lower, but still...); nevertheless, the water did taste a little bit nicer to my palate. But I bought it mainly for the filtration, and it has done an excellent job on that so far. Obviously I haven't had to change the filter yet, but again an included extra seems to be a useful tool. A very good filter for the money. Comes complete even with the wrench that may be needed to change the filter cartridge . We had another brand that looks and works the same as this one but the tubing connecter was just a push on and eventually it kept popping off spaying water all over. This Apex brand has an actual screw on compression fitting that should last a very long time. Apex just seems to be a little bit better made. Read more
Water from this filter taste good, no sediments or strange flavor. I have the white option bc my kitchen, countertops and cabinets are white, so it blends in my kitchen aesthetics very nice. Materials are top quality. Read more

Came in a box all neat and tidy, super simple to install, I let the unit bleed as instructed; black water most likely from the carbon came out the first 20 seconds or so. When it was clear I took a glass, what a huge difference. I never was one to buy bottled water, always had my own purification system on all my homes. I strongly recommend the unit for anyone. Please follow the instructions since that is the only way to guarantee your warranty. Read more
