i wear my PSVR2 for hours at a time, and after about 30-40 minutes, the back of my head where the pad contacts starts to hurt. with this replacement pad, i no longer feel pain back there after prolonged use. now, i notice other parts of my head hurting more (not due to this pad), like the front pad on my forehead. This thing is great! I used to have a homemade belt-like strap looped around headset by my ears that would rest over the top of my head to help hold the headset up on my face and the back of my head would go numb and sore from needing it so tight to stay in place. Ever since I installed this, which was kind of easy I guess, it has made a huge difference, I dont need to keep the headset so tight to keep screens in position and even if I do tighten it up really tight, the back of my head does not go numb and stays comfortable. Pros: - includes tools needed to install and a manual - cushioned pad Cons: - installation was confusing tbh. Can't really tell which part you're suppose to use the pick to detach and exactly which screws to take out. I almost detached the wrong part and maybe damage my psvr2 . Glad there was a brief video of someone else that installed it to refer to. Consider: - I tried it for an hour and I couldn't really tell the difference it made... I'll try it again over next several days and update this review -not sure if $30 is worth it if I don't really feel a difference. Read more

I was having extreme pain from the the Stock headstrap. It was seriously agonizing. I Was to the point where I didn't think I could play it. I tried wearing a beanie, a backwards cap, even a sweatband, but the pain was always there. Luckily I found this and it has been virtually painless there is still some residual soreness from the stock strap. It was easy to install with the supplied tools and instructions. I am very impressed with this product and highly recommend it for people who are having issues. Read more

The reviews for this have been pretty positive so far. And as far as comfort adjustments for the psvr2 (which I love, but undeniably is uncomfortable af) there isn’t very much out there. Leaving this upgraded back strap one of the best options. All went well, removing old pad was a breeze. But then came screwing on the new bracket.. oh boy. I saw in another review the mention of a magnetic screwdriver included. Thought awesome, that’ll be a big help. The screwdriver was not magnetized. Don’t know if I was just unlucky, but doubt it. This made things INCREDIBLY difficult to get the screws in. There’s these big gaps on either side of the screw hole. Fingers are too big to adequately set the screw in the hole, too small and awkward for tweezers. I was like wtf. After a good bit of frustration I had to fashion a little piece of cardboard to slide into the area around the screw holes as a barrier/guide, so that I could get the screw in place without it falling into the abyss every time (pictured). Once I did that, it was much simpler. But to have to do that? Kind of wild. So, the product and improvement in itself is great. I don’t review much at all if ever. But I couldn’t live with myself knowing I could’ve helped some other unsuspecting folks just trying to comfortably use their headset. - tldr: Make sure you have a magnetic micro screwdriver laying around.
