This protein treatment was EXACTLY what my hair needed to bring back the balance of strength along with moisture into my hair! I had shine that I hadn’t seen in months and my hair is happy. Wow! I was really surprised by how effective this was! After the very first treatment, my hair was thicker, less porous, with less breakage, and less hair fall. The protein product does not smell good. Had an unpleasant smell and it’s very sticky. I put it in a spray bottle and stood in the shower to spray it all in my hair. You do NOT want this stuff all of your bathroom floor and counters/sinks. Once the protein is applied thoroughly, use a hair dryer to apply heat til it’s dry and stiff all over then rinse, use the balancing moisturizer and I added a hydrating moisture mask after that (amika hydro rush). Works just as stated. It really does slow, or even stop, hair breakage. I hadn't used it in a decade, but I am impressed by the new and pleasant smell. I used it after I chemically processed, and permanently colored my hair. Breakage and fall out was minimal. It is pricey, but worth every penny, as it is a well known product with proven results. Make sure you use the 2 step reconstructer as directed and follow through with the balancing moisturizer for visible results. Do not substitute. They were made to complement each other. The smaller bottle contents look, act, has very similar texture to Olaplex bond builder (the golden colored one). The process isn’t too simple. Wash hair, comb yellow liquid through towel dried hair, dry hair under bonnet dryer (so it isn’t disturbed and blown around as much as a regular dryer would do) Rinse. REPEAT that whole process, then apply contents of larger bottle…a conditioner. Results? I have only had time to do part of the process…but results seem good. Similar to Olaplex, a lot less expensive. I’ve so far only used this once, I didn’t expect the step 1 to be so liquidy- it’s like pouring water, I felt like I didn’t get the full effect/ treatment with it being straight liquid, I will try a different technique next time. I’m not one to leave reviews but I feel like I have to with this. This product absolutely saved my curls after one use. I got my hair bleached & colored 2 days ago and my hair has felt pretty stringy and dry. I used this product literally just once and there’s a huge difference. The photo is just after one use.
