Perfect addition for my rainshower head. If you have a shower control that does not regulate the flow, this valve is critical to fine tune the volume out of your shower head. A bonus is that it installs using gaskets on both ends and does not require teflon tape. Read more

Well built, easy to install, very smooth operation, good price. There is still plenty of pressure. Being able to adjust the flow also makes it a bit easier to wash my dog, too. 😉👍 Read more

This is a quality product that works as advertised. It is compact, and the flow adjustment is very smooth, even when the water is flowing. Read more

Fit perfectly between threaded pipe and shower head. Great for reducing water flow. Can be adjusted at any time to the perfect pressure with a sliding metal valve. Read more

Well made. Quality product. I was in need of an adjustable water restrictor due to flow from shower head being too aggressive. The standard flow restrictors are to low flow so those wouldn’t work. I needed something in between the standard flow restrictor and full flow. This was perfect for allowing me to adjust the flow right where I like it. Installation was simple enough. I initially installed it hoping the included seal would be sufficient to seal without teflon tape. No luck though. The seal doesn’t stay in place when you tighten it down. No worries though. I just used some 2-3 mil thick teflon tape, gave it a good 3-4 wraps around the threads on the shower wall pipe. I applied the same teflon tape process to the threads on the flow restrictor. I securely attached the shower head to the flow restrictor to complete the subassembly. I proceeded to attach the shower head and flow restrictor subassembly to the shower head pipe using an adjustable wrench to tighten using the hex flats provided on the flow restrictor. I turned on my temperature mixing valve for my shower to the ‘ON’ position at my preferred temperature setting. I proceeded to check for water flow seal off of the flow restrictor in the ‘OFF’ position while the shower mixing valve was open. I was pleasantly surprised to witness the water flow completely shutting off. Absolutely no leakage. Honestly I wasn’t expecting this outcome. This will allow me to set my temperature setting on the mixing valve at my desired temperature and just turn on the water using the flow restrictor. There are only two minor complaints which resulted in a 4 star review instead of 5 star review. The need for teflon tape due to the seal leaking is a minor inconvenience and requires some basic knowledge of properly applying teflon tape. The other complaint is that the directional arrow indicating the lever position to turn on water flow on the flow restrictor ended up being on the back side of the lever where it is now visible. My suggestion to the manufacturer would be to place this arrow on both sides. I would buy again and I am thinking about purchasing another one to place on the shower head in my guest bathroom. When I had my tub/shower remodeled, the water pressure on my new showerhead was absurdly high (to the point where it hurt my skin). This valve helped reduce the pressure to a far better level, and now I have full control over how little or high the water pressure is on my showerhead!! Bonus that it matches the finish of the shower head so it doesn't stick out at all. Highly recommend! Read more
