i feel like an apple pencil is vital to the purchase of a ipad especially if it’s used for shopping, studying, etc. it’s functionality is top tier, it’s easy to hold, inexpensive, great quality, and it connects easily. the only downside is not being able to list it as a device in find my in case you lose it, but it’s medium-large size so it’s easy to identify and find. there’s also alot of grips available on the market if you feel it doesn’t fit your hand, but i find it extremely comfortable and it feels like a pencil. when writing my notes, i feel like it’s pretty accurate and it’s not hard to read or use. I wasn’t sure if this would work as well as the regular iPencil, because I had read this one doesn’t have features the more expensive one has. And I have to say, whatever those extra features are I’m not missing them! This works great, it’s very accurate, amazing quality. Considering how much I’m using it in Procreate, I would say it’s more than paid for itself! As expensive as it seems, it’s been a great value for the money. It’s easy to use and the design is simple. You just have to remember to occasionally plug it in to charge it- the end slides open, revealing a type-C charger port. But the battery life on it lasts a long time. Not as user friendly as the original pencil and battery doesn’t seem to hold a charge very long. After about 4 hours of being charged it was down to 46%. That was intermittent use and non use, with about 3 hours actual use. To charge the original pencil I pulled off the end exposing the lightening connector and plugged it into the receptacle on my iPad. This requires a USB-C cable connection from either the charger or the iPad. Admittedly, it’s not that big a deal, but it feels like a step backwards from the original. The battery longevity is a little more irksome. The pencil is very easy to use, and I’m actually amazed at how the iPad is able to generate text when I write with it, even with my sometimes barely legible script. Much improved over the original. I can live with the minor irritations because it’s a good value for the price. Read more
I recently picked up the Apple Pencil (USB-C), and it has been a great addition to my iPad. Setup was incredibly simple—just plug it in via USB-C, and it pairs right away. This is great! This is a reminder that this product does not have pressure sensitivity, BUT this apple pencil can be used while being charged which is a plus. This product is matte so it is very smooth. Overall very good product. Read more
