Plug the USB-C end of the adapter into a USB-C ( or Thunderbolt 3 (USB-C)) port on your Mac, to connect your camera, external HD or other standard USB devices. Love that you can connect a Lightning to USB cable to sync and charge various devices like iphone ipad etc. Small size but does a lot. Very durable - had it 4 years now and gets used a lot. Works perfectly to connect old tech with new tech. I’m planning on buying another. Currently use it to connect an Apple SuperDrive and a 7th Gen IPod Classic to my M4 Pro. It’s built well and while it maybe pricier then most other adapters it doesn’t disconnect unexpectedly and data transfers are very quick. Read more
