I really love this unit I do wish they had a WiFi app. The unit is heavy. But easy to grab by the handles and carry. I placed my unit on turbo “speed 6” and the noise isn’t as loud as my old winix 5500 first gen unit on turbo. In fact I couldn’t put it on setting 3 without being annoyed. I have this one on speed 4 and it’s very tolerable. This unit can cycle a room 5x in one hour on the highest setting. The green light isn’t bright actually very beautiful and ambient “relaxing to me”. I can already tell a difference in my air. I’m not stuffy. The sides that intake the air has a nice suction (don’t put things next to it)! The air blowing out “output” is cool so it does cool the room by about 2-3 degrees. I really like this unit. It hugs the wall and does a great job in my sizable bedroom. Efficient and quiet. The only reason I didn’t give it 5 stars is because it has too many lights on it making it a bit too bright for someone who prefers a darker room for sleeping. The lights on the top are enough so you won’t trip over it at night and for a night lite. I taped over the bright green light to dim it. Read more

This is an excellent unit and for cleaning the air in a large room is as good if not better than other room sized air cleaners. It’s about twice as large as the Winix 5500 we have in our bedroom. However it does have a major defect that could be a dealbreaker if you require this for allergies. As stated in a previous review, sometimes the unit will turn off during the night and will not turn back on. From talking to technical support it seems that sometimes sleep mode doesn’t work correctly (when it’s dark it automatically puts itself into sleep mode which sets a timer of 8 hours and automatically turns the unit off, rather than switching back to auto mode). This happens a couple times a week. If you suffer from allergies its unacceptable to come downstairs and be blasted with a room full allergens. With that said it performs well in the following situations: - When cleaning the litter box it automatically increases the fan speed and cleans the smells/dust - quickly removes cooking smells. Before we had this it would waft through the house into the upstairs living areas. Even in our living room this is able to keep cooking odors at bay. - Improves allergy symptoms. - As a test we used a bong in the living room. On turbo it removed all traces in about 20 minutes. Needs improvement: - Needs a remote. While it not necessary, other comparable units have one and it’s really useful when you want to turn it up but can’t or don’t want to get up. - Redesign sleep mode. They really messed this one up and I don’t understand how. This feature really needs to be a “turn of the lights so I can sleep” mode and nothing else. Read more
