Aqua Natural Galaxy Sand is an excellent substrate for aquascaping. The color is absolutely beautiful in person, a natural blend that adds depth and contrast without overpowering the tank. It gives a clean, modern look and really makes fish colors and plants stand out. One of the biggest positives is how clean this sand is right out of the bag. It required minimal rinsing and didn’t cloud my tank like many other sands I’ve used. The grain size is perfect, fine enough for a smooth, natural appearance but heavy enough that it stays in place and doesn’t constantly get kicked up. Really nice sand that looks really good in my tank. The only issues I had is that there was a good amount of particles floating on the very top of the water. I bought 10lbs for a 20-gallon long tank and I way underestimated how much I needed. I ordered another 20lb bag and think that should be perfect. The sand is very consistent in particle size. This sand is very dark black, just what I wanted. Rinsed many times and still made the rinse water dirty and the aquarium water cloudy but not too bad. It does look awesome though. Would recommend and buy again. Read more

As described. Great color, dont be silly like me and forget to rinse it before adding to the tank or you'll color your water everytime the sand gets stirred up. A few water changes cleared it up though. Easy. Two bags covered my 29 gal well. Read more
I didn’t have to wash or rinse this sand and for that reason alone, it would get 10 stars if possible. I added this to an already established tank, and it truly didn’t cloud the tank at ALL. I even left the filter on, oops. It settled within 30 mins, looks great, is clean, had zero hitchhikers. My loach is loving it! Read more
