I love the Aquagear Pitcher! My mom got it from Amazon as a gift for me, once I did a whole lot of research for finding a filter that was in pitcher form and more importantly removed harmful contaminats, from tap water, including flouride. ( Which is a little harder to find for decent price) I'm so grateful to have found this one!! This has been working wonderfully. I've been using it for about a year and a half and no problems at all. Easy to use, and clear instructions. Easy to clean. Worked well, clear improvement in water quality and the taste. It looks clean, clear and fresh and the taste is better than any other filtered water I've had, including bottled water. Plus this not only taste amazing, and I can feel good about the quality of water I am putting in my body, but also using this has helped me to greatly reduced the amount of one time use plastic water bottles. This helps our environment in so many ways and Aplus all the way! My man and I both love it! Also wanted to note that the filter that came with the pitcher lasted about 9 months plus, and still worked like a champ. I drink a lot of water daily too, and it kept filtering quickly with clean water. I love how we can send back used filters the be recycled! Great idea! Thanks for offering that! I have now had three of these filters to screw onto my Clearly Filtered pitcher. The first one worked amazing and lasted a very very very long time, in fact I forgot to change it out and was using it for a year. Even that old, the difference in taste between the tapwater and the filtered water was very apparent. So I just ordered a replacement, but the replacement actually did not screw on properly. I wrote an email to the seller and they immediately sent me a replacement and told me to keep the defective one. The replacement screwed on perfectly and now my water tastes completely pure. They mentioned there was a batch that ended up defective but they were so nice and took care of it so fast I can’t really take any points off. And I have not laboratory tested my water but it tastes as pure as air. Liquid air. I’m expecting it to last a long time, btw when they start to get old the water drips down more slowly. Read more

While this filter is great and is the proper replacement for the Aquagear pitcher, which I love since it's way better than cheaper versions, the adapter that comes with it to prepare it for use doesn't fit any of my faucets. Theoretically you attach the adapter to a faucet and run water through it and the filter to wash any dust out and activate the charcoal, but since it doesn't fit any of my faucets I just heave it out. Seems such a waste and the filter would, no doubt, be cheaper if that wasn't included. As it is I just hold the filter in the water stream from the faucet for a while to prep it. That seems to work just fine, so I'd rather pay less for the filter and not get the adapter at all. That said, this filter system is far superior to others in that it removes more substances. Depending on how 'dirty' your water is, the filter lasts a long time. If the water runs through it slowly, it's because there are more impurities in the water to filter out, and if it gets to merely a trickle, it's probably time to replace the filter. I have well water and it runs through the filter fast so I know it's good water, but others nearby have problems with their wells, so I use the pitcher just to be safe. It also improves the water's taste in the couple of days right after it goes through the water softener refresh cycle. Read more

I have been using my Aquagear pitcher since 2016. These replacement filters work great to get the hard stuff out of my water, especially the Chromium 6 prevalent in my municipality's water. The water tastes good. Filtered water keeps my Keurig from getting hard water build up so it runs smoothly. I have the filter on subscribe and save so I know when to replace the filter.
