I have used these to secure plant rings, feeding ring, drop feeders, and betta beds so they aren't being pushed all over the place by the current. And especially in the casenof floating plants, it helps me secure my rings to cut them off from current that floating plants don't like. The suction on these suction cups works incredibly well. I also 3D print with aqua safe PETG and TPU, and so I can always make reusable zip ties for these that are also softer and safer for fish, which I will probably be doing particularly for the bettas. LOVE THIS!! It's really valuable and quite affordable! It’s very durable and perfect for the plants I want to add to my tank. ... but, ended up changing my mind and decided to give it a try. The original concern was that the cheap plastic zip-ties would not hold up for long and end up breaking. I did not overcome that issue - still waiting for long term results to see if the zip-ties will last. What changed my mind was the fact that all the other options I came across did not have any better solutions. They either lost suction or simply dried up, got brittle and broke - with the end result that the other solutions would not last more than one season (we run a seasonal marina). The plus on these is that the zip-tie can be tightened securely around the air hoses: a lot of the other options did not provide that capability. So, this is more of a lesser-of-the-evils choice - it is not perfect, but, offers more functionality than the other aquarium suction cups. Read more

I’m generally not a fan of suction cups, but I love these. I had to move my chameleon from a screen terrarium to a glass one. All the decor in the screen cage was held in place by florist wire, which is useless in a glass one, so I ordered these suction cups. NGL, I didn’t pay attention to the size when I ordered them. I just needed them ASAP. They were smaller than I imagined, but that’s on me. They worked though! They worked so well that instead of using the suction cups that came with some of my new decor, I replaced them with these. It’s only been a few days, so I can’t attest to their durability yet, but I’m optimistic. Read more
