Aquaphor is a doctor-recommended topical. Three dermatologists have all suggested using it post skin biopsies and Mohs surgery for a family member. Even though it is non-sterile, it creates a barrier that helps keep the wound moist and shields it from germs. More commonly, it helps heal dry, cracked skin and lips. It's a fantastic moisturizer. Just a quick tip: if you do use this product for wound care, apply it using a tongue depressor. Get a box of the sterile, individually wrapped variety.
