I’m a long-time Aquaphor customer and like basics without extra junk. At back-to-school I bought seven sticks—one for each grandchild—because fall wind + kids who lick their lips = chapping fast. This balm is fragrance-free, gentle, and doesn’t sting. It goes on smoothly, no weird taste, not super glossy, and it actually softens cracked lips fast. I keep extras in coats and backpacks. Why I’m comfortable giving it to the kids: the stick uses simple moisturizers like jojoba oil, shea butter, and castor oil, plus panthenol and vitamins C & E. In plain English, these ingredients add moisture and then seal it in so lips stay calm instead of getting more irritated. No parabens, no fragrance, no menthol/camphor “tingle.” Read more

My lips are forever chapped especially in the winter and keep hearing about using aquafor for dry skin and chapped lips. It’s not actually as thick as I expected (or wanted) but soothes enough. There is no flavor which is nice. I have chapstick in almost every room and every pocket and this seems like a good purchase to add to my “collection”. Aquaphor Lip Repair is my holy-grail lip balm (the ointment in the squeeze tube has saved my lips through countless dry winters), so I was excited to try this stick format in a 4-pack. It’s the same trusted formula with shea butter and jojoba oil, fragrance-free, no weird taste, and it definitely moisturizes well. The downside for me: - The stick is noticeably thicker and “waxy” compared to the classic ointment. It’s not bad by any means, and I’ll use up the pack (especially convenient for purse/coat pockets), but it’s not replacing my trusty tubes. If you already love a thicker, waxier stick balm (think Burt’s Bees or Chap Stick texture), you’ll probably be happy. If you’re addicted to the original Aquaphor Lip Repair ointment like I am, this stick version feels like a small downgrade in application. Still solid, just not my favorite format. Read more
