ANOTHER UPDATE AFTER A FEW YEARS OF OWNERSHIP: After 5 different filter changes and several years of ownership, we noticed that the faucet dribbles and drips for a while (30+ seconds) after you turn off the pump. Not the end of the world, and still a good product, but slightly annoying. UPDATES AFTER SIX MONTHS OF OWNERSHIP: This filter continues to be awesome, and has all signs of holding up for long term use. It is convenient to refill and to use, easy to maintain, and the quality of the filtration is amazing for an over the counter mini appliance. My one complaint is that the magnetic lid covering the filter itself can loosen up and rattle when the water is dispensing, which makes a louder sound. It isn't bad enough for me to consider it a bad product, but just something to be aware of. Otherwise, fantastic filter and strongly recommended!! I used brita filters for the longest time but they tend to get gross with still water sitting in them, take forever to filter, and also do not necessarily do a great job filtering stuff out. I originally wanted to install an under sink filter, but that wasn't allowed in my rented apartment. This seemed like a good compromise, with a heavy duty aquasana filter and an electric pump. It works great - just fill the tank and hit the button, and clean water flows out on demand at a high rate (very high if you compare it with brita / gravity filters). The water tastes great and is available immediately. So far, we've had no issues with this machine. It does exactly what you would hope it would do, is well-designed, and is effectively without being obtrusive or looking too industrial / unfinished on a countertop. Read more

This is such a wonderful way to get our purified water. It is a standalone for a tabletop that plugs into the electrical socket and the quality of the filtered water is excellent. I find the filter hard to take out and to put the replacement in. It takes a lot of strength in your hands. It is easy to clean and we don't have to keep using plastic bottles for purified water. We also don't have to carry heavy bottles of water up a flight of stairs. It is a real winner. The original instructions that came with the machine were missing some crucial points. I had to call their company and speak to a tech person to get it to work. They said that they had put that information in instructions after ours was made and sent. On day, one of owning this, the water pump was not able to pump the water up through the line to dispense water out. That was a little disappointing and I called their customer service and they actually wanted to sell me a different product. However, we wanted something on our countertop, and this was the way for us to go so I returned it through Amazon and got a new one. Everything worked great and we have been using it for eight months now. The water is fantastic where I live we can smell the chlorine early in the morning when you first turn on the water and a little bit throughout the day it’s quite potent Filter gets rid of all of that odor and does a fantastic job on her drinking water. It’s really nice to not have to pull out a Britta and fill it every second although this one you have to fill quite often because I believe it only takes 120 ounces of water at a time or maybe it’s 60 ounces so basically after you fill a couple glass of water you have to fill it back up that said I’m OK with that. I love that the water quality is excellent and that’s all I care about , this is probably the top three or four filter systems in its price range and I think you will be very happy with it if you care about really good water filtration. My only gripe outside of worrying about the pump failing one day since it failed on her first one is the noise it is expected when you get one of these to have a air compressor like sound because that’s what it has to do but the vibrations that it creates combine with the sound can be a little charring And annoying we chose to put a silicone back underneath which seem to reduce some of the volume I’d say by about 35%. I also noticed that it does leak quite a bit at its dispenser point where the water comes out in the correct way. In other words, the drop keeps tripping out. It’s not a leak Like a crack but that said we put a stone coaster underneath to catch some of the drops because otherwise, our granite countertops would always be getting the drips of the water and that’s not good wear and tear overtime so you either find yourself leaving your glass under the dispense part of the water for a good minute or like what we do we put a thirsty stone to soak up the drips of water as they come out I would say it’s probably a quarter to an 8th ounce of water that drips off after it’s done dispensing nothing big but it does add up if you have a family and you’re gonna be using this a lot just something to keep in mind. It’s an excellent product, but you may want to look into doing one of their under the cabinet installations for a permanent fix that’s not something we’re going to do yet, but if this one breaks will either look to another company or will try that out.
