This was a blind buy, based on two reasons: 1) Aramis Devin was composed by Bernard Chant, the same nose behind the enduring 1966 classic Aramis Aramis; 2) It was launched in 1977, and most of my favorite EDTs belong to the mid-70s to early-80s period. What can I say?. Wearing Aramis Devin for the first time took me straight back to 1982, when Halston Z-14 and Halston 1-12 where very popular (at least where I Iive). In fact there are a some similarities between the three perfumes. The current Aramis Devin formularion has a trong opening, and very strong sillage during the first hour, after that it becomes more subtle, but still present. And It has better longevity than many current reformulations of classic EDTs. For such a marvellous fragance, its price Is ridiculously low. Now I will definetely blind buy Aramis 900, another classic composition by Chant that's till available. If you're under 50 you may not like this EDT, unless you love fragances from this era as much as I do. Read more
This is one of my top 10 colognes. May not sound like much, but out of 170 or so types of scents, that makes it special. I've stocked up on a half dozen bottles, in case it gets discontinued, so I can keep going a while longer. Price is good. Read more
Though I had a bad experience previously purchasing cologne on amazon site (got counterfeit cologne once) , the Aramis Devon I received appears to be authentic and at a very good price. It is a classic scent from the 80s, that I have used for years. The scent to me, is not sweet or soft. Definitely doesn't smell like woman's perfume like so many men's colognes do these days. Sorta woodsy and strong, like a mans cologne ought to be. Read more

Like some others, I first heard of this scent when watching the Regis and Kelly show and Bryant Gumbel was substituting for Regis. She always commented on how nice he smelled! I looked for it here in Canada and was unable to find it. It is available from some ebay sellers but I have to wonder how genuine some of the things are there plus the price was even more than what I got it for on special here at amazon.com. I purchased it here on amazon.com never having smelled it before but really like it. My wife too raves about it and I am now always ready to impress Kelly if she ever stops in for a chat some morning! Read more
FIND THE FRAGRANCE DISAGREEABLE This was one of my favoite fragrances from years ago. I knew it was not the orginal but based on its lineage and manufacturer I thought it would be good I do not like it all. Smells like something that has a spoiled component. Not for me. Used to wear this in high school/college. I'm not sure if it's my memory, if this is the "$27 version" or if it's a knockoff, but there seems to be something missing in the scent. It's still good, and maintains enough of the original smell to do the job. Read more
