Lashes that don't Require a Professional or Breaking the Bank!
Quick synopsis: Great value, quality, and results! In-depth review: By no means am I a makeup artist, seriously, at all. I'm the type of person to splurge on getting my lashes done (extensions especially) because I can't be bothered to apply falsies every day; I'd rather pay a professional to get the job done. That being said, this purchase was one of many attempts to "live more economically" and a successful one, at that. The last time I attempted applying falsies must have been in high school, before eyelash extensions became so mainstream (furthermore, I was an adolescent who didn't know better then). I was nervous when purchasing these due to how long it's been since I've applied or worn falsies, however, the risk of wasting $20, obviously is much less than spending +$300 for a set of lashes, which is what I had been paying, until this purchase, to get my favorite, perfect lashes. I love my lash ladies, I really do, it's taken years of experimenting with different businesses and kinds of lashes to finally find what works best and lasts longest for me--that being said, these falsies are definitely a quality and economical alternative. It was easier to apply them than anticipated, albeit, the first attempt messier than how I can apply them now, after using these a few days a week for the past few months. I use these babies in combination with "Lash Couture: Super Strong Lash Adhesive" (in black) and they hold through an entire day, whether I'm dormant, sitting at home playing video games, running around, sweating at work, or even having an excessively tearful existential crisis--they still remain adhered to my lash line and look great! Conclusion: You do not have to be a professional makeup artist to use and enjoy these lashes. Extra tips, from normal, non-influencer person to normal non-influencer person: - Firstly, this may be common sense, but from experience, I've learned applying a thin layer of lash glue with the lash glue brush directly to the band of the falsies, as opposed to applying the lash glue onto your lash line results in a more light-weight, durable hold, and, if you're using glue that is colored, rather than clear, any misplaced glue will be much less visible. - Secondly, if your lashes are not adhering, pay attention to the length of the lashes and where in relationship to your lash line you are applying them. I've found that these lashes are too long for my eyes--this does not make me think less of or deter me from using them however, as realistically, one size can only fit ...most? when it comes to eyes, let's be real--so, I cut off a tiny portion near the inner eye (where the lashes are shorter anyway, so them being missing is less noticeable, if at all recognizable) on both lashes, apply accordingly and they fit perfectly. Thanks Ardell for helping me save money, feel more confident and competent, and restoring my faith in false lashes! :~) Read more
