ARIAT unisex-child Scout Zip Paddock Boot

the leather looks and feels really nice they are true to size. they are easy to clean mud off and wipe up nice with leather cleaner/shoe shine before shows. my ONLY complaint is that sometimes the zippers come down on their own but this only happens when my daughter runs in them. They seem to be durable - my daughter has ran around the farm in these for a few months and they are still in great shape. no rips cracks or discoloration. Edit 1/18/21: Just buy these! Pair 4 or 5...I’ve lost count. I’ve passed all but one down to younger friends. The one pair blew out on the side after extensive use (7 days a week +1 year) and I had to throw them out to force her to wear the new ones. Lol. Don’t waste your time on cheaper boots unless your little late just ride 1-2x a month and never walk around in them. These are the bomb for comfort, wear, and style in the show ring, however. DD pairs these daily with Perri’s suede half chaps (also the only chaps I buy - I run them through the washer) and she’s comfy. She rides @5 days a week and sometimes 2 lessons a day, long show days, or clinics. This is the 3rd pair of paddocks boots I've purchased for my 7 yr old daughter. The first two were a much less expensive, leather brand with laces. She has a small, narrow foot for her age and the other boots occasionally rubbed hot spots or blisters. I ordered 5 pair of boots from Amazon and these arrived a few days before all the others. She tried them on and that was it. Perfect! I canceled the orders for other boots and they were rerouted back to Amazon and I never had to deal with sending them back myself. I love that!!! I sprayed them with Kiwi Camp Dry waterproofing, as I do all of her boots (allows me to just rinse them quickly in the sink when they're muddy), and she wore them the next day to camp for 6 hrs. She declared them "awesome!" and they've never hurt, are easier to get on with the zipper (they run wider than her other boots so thicker socks helped that), and are well-worth 2x the price of the cheaper boots. They have an insole more like an athletic shoe, have a more flexible rubber sole, and keep my kid happy during a long day at camp. All good things! Read more

So Glad we read reviews and opted for these boots vs. a cheaper version. I purchased them a size up so she can grow into them. They fit well, super quality and our daughter said they are super comfortable for her while she wears them around the barn and for riding lessons. We just have to be sure she wears high socks that go over the top of the boot so the back and front do not rub. They are beautiful and really a pair of boots she will love and use for the next two years and then pass along to another little girl! Read more

These boots are perfect, but definitely go by the sizing chart. My daughter wears a 3 in a different brand of paddock boot, so I ordered a 4 in the Ariats. They were way too big. I ordered a 3, and they are still somewhat big, but will work with thick socks. The sizing chart says I should have ordered a 2. They probably would have been perfect! Read more

Can’t go wrong with Ariat paddock boots. They hold up amazingly. We are going on our 3rd pair only because we have out grown them. They have a hook function in the sole of the foot where they can help 1/2 size up or down which is great for those growing feet. Read more

I bought a size 4 for my 8 year old daughter for her horse riding. They are definitely a high quality boot. My daughter loves them. She has worn them a few days and says they are very comfortable and don't rub her wrong anywhere. I checked her feet after a full day of wearing them and she had no hot spots. The inside footbed looks soft and comfortable. She hasn't been on a horse yet since getting these a few days ago, but I'm sure they will be great!
