These are lovely, high quality boots. They have a foam insert that's comfortable and though not specifically wide shaft, they fit my legs which usually require a wider shaft, likely due to the height as they don't go over the calves. I would not size down. Sometimes I can wear a half size smaller with a wider foot shoe, but in this case, I would go true to size or even a half size up if you're going to be wearing thick/heavy socks with them. Read more

I really liked these at first, as they were attractive and comfortable when first out of the box. I wear 8.5 to 9 and the size 9's fit at first, but they stretch pretty quick with only a few wears and then the heel was too loose and my foot started slipping. So I tried to change out the inserts, but found that many inserts caused my toes to be pushed into the front. This is b/c the boot's fit tends to be loose in the heels and narrower in the toe box, meaning the tops of your toes are rubbing on the underside of the toe box, as the boot squishes down on the top of your toes with a thicker insert. Then I looked at the heels and could not believe it, I had only worn these a handful of times, like less than 5 times outdoors only to walk across a parking lot and back, and the heel was already wearing down! That means the heels so called 'Dura tread' is NOT that durable but wears with only a few walks outside. That would mean the cost of having the heels resoled added to the cost of the boots. I was sorry to return them as they were very attractive boots, but too difficult for me to fit, and, these did not have a durable heel rubber. Great as always. True to size. I wear these with thin cotton socks because my feet sweat. They are water proof with a good toe support. They are not as bulky compared to other western style boots. Color is as shown and it has that fuzzy nubuck leather feel which causes marks and stained look as you wear them out. I didn't need that the breaking in time. They felt great day one. At first i thought the boot was too small (this was my first boot purchase) but after doing research i learned that there has to be a little tightness at the instep and heel area and eventually the boot will break in. It fit me perfectly even with a pair of socks on, and i believe the boot is true to size . The inside has a soft cushioned insole which i like and its overall look is simple and not too fancy which is what i wanted . A nice work boot for farm work. Read more

So far so good. I cannot believe how roomy these shoes were. I could you stick socks and still have room then it’s comfortable to put your jeans inside and they look awesome with bootleg jeans. I’m pretty pleased right now. I’m just hoping the best for my long term use.. I haven’t had Ropers in a long time and I’m very pleased with these. This company thought of everything I love it. This is a very good brand of shoe. I have another that I bought a few weeks ago and it was very comfortable as well and trust me I have sent many shoes back for rubbing on my baby toe. I also like the smell of leather they carry. I will be wearing these boots all season long and then some. Been wearing Ariat for forever. They've always lasted a long time for me, years of labor. Mud, rain, rocky terrain- they are used for WORK boots and take quite a licking. These are the waterproof variety of this particular boot, Delilah. They fit well, might have to play around with the insoles. They don't overstretch like some boots, to where they are too huge to wear. The pair I got from Amazon I did end up returning. I bought them as new, paid full price, and they were obvious returns. I received them with dings and scratches. I don't give a crap that that's how they are going to end up. I want to be the one to do it. Main thing is, I paid full price. They should have been in the warehouse section with a percentage of. I ended up getting through TSC, cause they had a sale and I had a reward to use. Wherever you get them, if these work for you, you'll have them for a good while. Just remember to slow for stretching. Read more
